Job Title: Emergency Response Coordinator

Location: Flexible, with the option to work from home

Hourly Pay Rate: Competitive rates, with opportunities for overtime

Length of the contract: Temporary to Permanent (12-week probation via agency)

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:00

About the Role:

Gi Group is seeking a skilled Emergency Response Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our public sector client's operations, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and responding to emergency calls in a timely and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to Emergency Calls: Answer and respond to incoming calls, prioritizing emergency calls over non-emergency calls and using clinical triage software to ensure accurate and timely responses.
  • Provide Advice and Support: Offer guidance and support to callers, following clinical triage protocols and procedures to ensure the best possible outcomes.
  • Manage and Support Teams: Work collaboratively with other team members to manage and support each other during times of crisis, using effective communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Record Information Accurately: Maintain accurate records of calls, using Windows-based systems and clinical triage software to ensure seamless data management.
  • Enhance Skills and Knowledge: Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge, ensuring you remain up-to-date with the latest clinical triage protocols and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Excellent Communication Skills: Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure and provide clear, concise information to callers.
  • Technical Skills: Have good keyboard skills and the ability to use Windows-based systems, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
  • Empathy and Compassion: Demonstrate empathy and compassion when dealing with traumatic, emotional, and distressing situations, providing a supportive and non-judgmental service to callers.
  • Enhanced DBS Check: Be willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS Check, ensuring you meet the necessary security clearance requirements for the role.
