Job Title: Account Sales Engineer

A sales engineer is required for a leading OEM in the cutting tool industry with a global presence.

The UK-based operation has a team of sales engineers who develop new and existing business across various manufacturing sectors.

We're seeking a sales engineer with a deep understanding of the manufacturing industry, with the ability to develop and engage with clients in their local area or region.

Responsibilities:

  1. Promote and sell innovative metal cutting tools to end users and distributors.
  2. Listen to customers and sales project teams to deliver suitable technical solutions.
  3. Grow sales and volume of end users.
  4. Identify and develop new leads, and follow up on internal leads.
  5. Collaborate with colleagues and management to coordinate marketing campaigns and events.
  6. Document cost-saving activities and update the CRM system.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a cutting tool sales engineer or applications engineer.
  • Proven background in B2B sales of technical products, ideally with cutting tools.
  • Confident negotiation skills and ability to present to stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.
  • Efficient user of Microsoft 365, including TEAMS, and our CRM system.
  • Full UK driving license.
