We are seeking a highly motivated and caring individual to join our Housekeeping Team as a Domestic Care Assistant. As part of this role, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and tidiness in our care home.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clean and sanitise rooms, including furnishings in assigned work areas.
  • Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness of the service and laundry, causing minimal disruption to the residents and their care.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and colleagues, demonstrating good interpersonal and working relationship skills.
  • Demonstrate ability to work without direct supervision and use a variety of cleaning products safely.
  • Promote communication within the team and be responsive to call bells in the home.
  • Maintain care of equipment and adhere to emergency procedures, including those relating to fire.

Requirements

  • Friendly and approachable demeanor.
  • Ability to understand the needs of residents and work well as part of a team.
  • Previous experience in a housekeeper role is desirable but not necessary, as long as you have a genuine interest in working with older people.
