Job Summary: As a Deputy Store Manager at Lidl, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our stores. You will be responsible for managing the store in the absence of the Store Manager, overseeing cash processes, monitoring stock integrity, and inspiring your colleagues to deliver exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently manage the store, taking ownership of daily operations and making key decisions to drive sales and customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor and manage cash processes, including handling cash transactions, managing till areas, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Oversee stock management, including receiving and processing deliveries, monitoring stock levels, and ensuring accurate inventory records.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating excellent customer service skills and providing coaching and guidance to colleagues to ensure they meet our high standards.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with colleagues, customers, and suppliers to drive business growth and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Stay up-to-date with company policies, procedures, and initiatives, and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Contribute to the development of store teams, providing feedback, coaching, and training to help them achieve their full potential.
  • Participate in performance management, including setting goals, objectives, and performance targets for store teams.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as logistics and supply chain, to ensure seamless operations and efficient delivery of goods.
  • Stay alert and proactive, identifying opportunities to improve processes, reduce costs, and increase sales.
