Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Health Services Manager to join our team at Greater Manchester Police. This is an exciting opportunity for a registered nurse with experience in occupational health to provide comprehensive OH nursing services and lead a team of OH Screening Nurses.

Responsibilities
  • Manage complex OH cases, undertaking sickness absence case management and producing accurate associated documentation
  • Lead and manage OH Screening Nurses, providing support and advice to OH Technicians as required
  • Undertake recruitment, fitness for task and health surveillance activities when required
  • Support body fluid exposure risk assessments and workplace vaccinations
Requirements
  • Registered nurse with current fitness to practice and an appropriate OH qualification at diploma/degree level and above
  • Understanding of OH within a blue light environment would be an advantage
  • Proven skills in communication, team working and compassion, working in line with evidence-based practice
  • Computer literate with experience of using OH software service delivery systems
  • Ability to work flexibly at different locations across the force
