About the RoleAs a Senior Registered Nurse, you will provide leadership and support to our team while delivering high-quality care to our patients and their families. You will be responsible for managing a small team of junior nurses and care support workers, ensuring the provision of excellent clinical care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical leadership and support to the team
- Manage a small team of junior nurses and care support workers
- Deliver high-quality care to patients and their families
- Develop and implement care plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Contribute to the development of new workstreams and initiatives
- At least 2 years' experience in a band 5 registered nursing role, including palliative care and nursing children with life-threatening and life-limiting conditions
- Excellent clinical skills and knowledge, with a full set of up-to-date clinical competencies
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, transferable within a range of professional and family situations
- Ability to plan and deliver safe and effective clinical care in collaboration with parents/carers/young people
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Good organisational, planning, and time management skills, with the ability to adapt and reprioritise at short notice
- Ability to critically analyse research and promote and disseminate relevant findings in practice
- Mentorship qualification or equivalent
- Experience in supporting students on placement as a supervisor or practice assessor
- Competent IT skills
