Maintenance Engineer (Double Days) - Selby

Job Summary:

Futures is seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team in Selby. As a key member of our Engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing equipment and facilities.

About the Role:

As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, troubleshooting equipment issues, and implementing repairs and modifications to ensure optimal performance. You will work closely with our Engineering Manager to achieve budgeted machine performance targets and maintain high Engineering, Quality, Safety, and Hygiene standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Perform routine maintenance tasks, including electrical and mechanical maintenance, fault finding, and breakdown repairs.
  2. Ensure all Engineering work is carried out in an efficient and effective manner, in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practice, Health and Safety Legislation, and current Company Standards.
  3. Diagnose and repair process equipment, packaging equipment, and site services.
  4. Undertake training and up-skilling programmes to stay up-to-date with technological advancements and maintain skill level.
  5. Provide an in-depth handover to the oncoming shift, including Engineering, manufacturing, and warehouse issues.

Requirements:

  1. Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
  2. Time served apprenticeship in an engineering discipline, holding an Electrical Engineering HND/HNC/BTech/ONC/C and G Level 3 qualifications or higher.
  3. Degree/HND or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering (desirable).
