Maintenance Technician Role
Cooper Lomaz Recruitment Ltd is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join their team in Bury St Edmunds. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing all production equipment to ensure effective and safe operation, minimizing equipment downtime.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform corrective and preventive mechanical maintenance
- Repair production and processing equipment, as well as utility-related equipment
- Support the installation of new equipment
- Document all repairs
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Complete paperwork accurately
- Participate in the BOPEX program
- Comply with procedures, regulations, and policies
- Report unsafe operations and use required PPE
Requirements:
- Awareness of HACCP, food hygiene, and safety requirements
- Fluent English
- Computer skills
- 5+ years of experience in repair and maintenance of machinery in a food or drink manufacturing environment
- Level 3 NVQ in engineering and 18th Edition preferred but not essential
- Excellent trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills
- Experience working in a team
