Postdoctoral Research Associate Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Postdoctoral Research Associate to join our Clinical Sciences department, where you will contribute to projects focused on identifying and refining interventions targeting viral pathogens.

As a key member of our research team, you will work collaboratively to support a diverse research portfolio, with a focus on preclinical anti-viral drug discovery programmes. Your responsibilities will include:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing and maintaining mammalian cell culture and viral propagation protocols
  • Designing and executing experiments to support preclinical anti-viral drug discovery programmes
  • Maintaining accurate laboratory records and stock inventory
  • Preparing stock compounds and reagents
  • Supporting the work of research students and contributing to the development of new SOPs and risk assessments

The ideal candidate will possess a PhD in Biological Sciences or a related discipline, with practical laboratory experience and a strong attention to detail. You will have experience in viral culture and mammalian cell culture, as well as a track record of publishing high-quality research in peer-reviewed journals.
