Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Tax Accountant to join our team at Investigo. As a key member of our tax department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the company meets its legal obligations in respect of all UK taxes.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation and Review of Tax Schedules: Prepare, reconcile, and review tax schedules, calculations, and disclosure notes for year-end group reporting.
- Tax Planning and Compliance: Liaise with external advisors for the planning, preparation, and timely submission of corporate tax returns.
- Annual Reconciliation and Posting: Annual reconciliation and posting of corporate tax charges for the group.
- Transfer Pricing and SAO Documentation: Assist with transfer pricing documentation and policies, as well as SAO documentation and submissions.
- Criminal Offence Legislation: Manage Corporate Criminal Offence legislation obligations.
- UK VAT and IPT Calculations: Prepare UK VAT and IPT calculations and return submissions.
- Global Tax Support: Provide tax support to overseas business and other operational departments.
- Tax Team Support: Mentor, coach, and liaise with junior members of the tax and finance team.
- Ad Hoc Advisory Work: Support the Head of Tax with other ad hoc advisory work.
Requirements
- Professional Qualifications: Qualified Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) or Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) - part-qualified can be considered.
- Corporate Tax Experience: Previous experience in Corporate Tax and/or Indirect Taxes gained in a large accountancy firm.
- Minimum Experience: At least 2/3 years of experience in Tax.
- Time Management: Ability to work to tight deadlines.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with and influence all types of people and all levels of management.
- Technical Skills: Experienced in Excel.
