Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Asset Support Specialist to join our team at Yorkshire Water. As a key member of our Asset Delivery team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our water and wastewater assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support and guidance to operational teams to ensure compliance with engineering standards and regulations.
  • Develop and implement solutions to optimize asset performance and reliability.
  • Conduct root cause analysis investigations to identify and address asset failures and under-performance.
  • Collaborate with other engineering teams to enhance asset resilience and affordability.
  • Support the development of engineering strategy, policy, procedures, and standards.

Requirements:

  • Formal engineering qualification to a minimum of HNC or equivalent.
  • Previous discipline-specific engineering experience in water/waste/sludge treatment process-related or production-based engineering operations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to understand complex technical concepts.
  • Ability to influence people across multifunctional teams throughout the business.
  • Proficient in the use of corporate IT Computer Systems SAP.
