Pharmaceutical Care Specialist

In this role, you will be responsible for dispensing and procuring medicines and supplies, as well as participating in ward rounds to take patient drug histories and ensure safe medication use. You may also be involved in manufacturing, developing, testing, supplying, and monitoring the effectiveness of hospital medicines.
Responsibilities:- Provide advice to patients on how to take their medicines, potential side effects, and drug therapy.
- Prescribe and check prescriptions for errors, and advise on the most appropriate form of medication.
- Participate in ward rounds to take patient drug histories and ensure safe and effective medication use.
- Check patients' drugs for suitability to reuse and report medication errors and near misses.
The estimated salary for this role is £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
