Job Title: Multi-Skilled Engineer

At PCI Pharma Services, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Multi-Skilled Engineer to join our team at our Tredegar site. As a key member of our Engineering department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical guidance and expertise in resolving quality issues and ensuring compliance with current GMP standards.
  • Assist the Maintenance Engineering Manager in ensuring all activities on the Tredegar site comply with company policies and business requirements.
  • Support the Engineering Departments in ensuring all engineering activities on the Tredegar site meet GMP standards.
  • Promptly attend to equipment breakdowns, practicing systematic fault diagnosis and repairs, and minimizing downtime and product loss.
  • Contribute to planned preventative maintenance programs and monitor performance of critical utilities and process equipment in a cGMP environment.
  • Liaise with third-party contractors to arrange for planned preventative maintenance/rectification work required for breakdowns.
  • Comply with company policies, local, UK, and global regulatory requirements, including internal and external Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.
  • Assist in coordinating equipment requisitions with internal departments for building services requirements and carry out equipment and furniture installations.
  • Provide technical support, advice, and expertise to all operational departments and clients.
  • Support the design, procurement, introduction, and management of production tooling.
  • Provide training, support, and direction to trainees/apprentices/operation team when required.
  • Maintain close co-operation with all other departments to attain continual improvement in performance and standards of quality and reliability.
  • Assist in the management of electrical energy consumption using monitoring techniques in line with environmental policy.
Requirements:
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering.
  • Strong background and practical experience in electrical engineering.
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is preferred but not essential.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in an operational setting.
  • Skilled in maintaining equipment and managing breakdowns.
  • Project Management.
  • Problem Solving.
  • Knowledgeable in preventive and maintenance systems (PPM).
  • Demonstrates strong teamwork abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
