Position Overview
The Commercial Finance FP&A Team at Samsung is seeking a highly skilled FPA Analyst to support the MX Commercial Finance Team and wider Sales/Controlling teams across various day-to-day operations, including commercial planning, planning, and forecasting.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the MX Commercial Finance Team and wider Sales/Controlling teams in commercial planning, planning, and forecasting.
- Work closely with the CFM team and Sales to ensure the quarterly commercial planning process runs efficiently and effectively.
- Assist in completing and uploading monthly forecasts, ensuring simulated data is accurately reflected in the system.
- Update and maintain commercial plan templates for all MX products (Smartphone, Tablet, Wearables, NPC).
- Consolidate commercial plans (20+ for Smartphone and more) for presentation to the business with short lead times.
- Support MX Sales team with plan template issues.
- Collaborate with FP&A manager to upgrade planning templates to reflect various requirements from MX Sales and other relevant teams.
- Conduct the upload process for forecast simulated forecast/target data with tight schedules.
- Update and maintain forecast templates for all MX products (Smartphone, Tablet, Wearables, NPC).
- Support Yearly Management Planning process, including prep work and upload.
- Collaborate closely with Commercial Finance team to support forecasting and planning.
- Support FP&A manager in managing monthly reporting, including financial performance and ad hoc reporting within SEUK and HQ deadlines.
- Support to produce and consolidate data from finance/operation systems.
- Be one of the team super users for NERP/systems.
- Support ad-hoc financial analysis to deliver insights, including financial/operational results within SEUK and HQ deadlines.
Requirements
- Advanced Excel skills (Power query, advanced formulas) are required.
- Experience of using ERP systems (preferably SAP) is required.
- Ability to learn and absorb new knowledge/skills quickly.
- Part or newly qualified accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA).
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to a changing, fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency.
- Ability to work in a high-pressure environment, take quick and effective decisions.
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to focus on detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate effectively and work with others.
- Ability to solve problems under pressure by navigating yourself to the most suitable solution.
