Audit Manager

TPF Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Audit Manager to join a prestigious top 25 firm of chartered accountants in Steyning, Sussex. This is an excellent opportunity to lead client audit engagements across various sectors, including charities, independent schools, and owner-managed businesses.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and manage audits of larger, complex clients, addressing intricate technical audit matters with the audit partner.
- Apply risk focus, professional scepticism, and judgment to ensure efficient and robust audits.
- Identify, research, and analyse accounting/audit issues and propose effective solutions.
- Work closely with and provide proactive support to partners.
- Manage and prioritise own work and assignments to meet deadlines and budget requirements.
- Maintain audit quality standards in compliance with Audit Regulations and internal policies.
- Commit to professional growth through training and experience opportunities.
- Deliver excellent client service and build strong relationships with clients and third parties.
- Qualified ACA or ACCA, or Finalist.
- Minimum 3-4 years of relevant accountancy practice experience.
- Significant client-facing audit experience, including group audits.
- Excellent technical accounting knowledge and auditing skills.
- Proficiency in using audit and statutory accounts software.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, with at least intermediate Excel skills.
- Highly personable with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to build rapport and establish relationships at all levels.
- Positive 'can do' attitude.
- Must have own car and full driving license.
- Competitive salary range of £50,000 - £65,000.
