Arts and Culture Engagement Officer

Located in the heart of North Yorkshire, the North York Moors National Park Authority is a unique and fascinating place to work.
We are seeking an experienced Arts and Culture Engagement Officer to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our Inspired By.... gallery, implementing our Arts and Culture Strategy by engaging with artists, arts organisations, partners, and the wider community.
The ideal candidate will have experience in gallery curation/management, including artist selection and technical appraisal, as well as proven ability to engage with diverse audiences through arts and cultural initiatives. They will also have experience of data collection, analysis, and evaluation skills related to public engagement.

About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Managing the day-to-day operations of our Inspired By.... gallery
- Implementing our Arts and Culture Strategy by engaging with artists, arts organisations, partners, and the wider community
- Delivering an annual programme of exhibitions, workshops, and cultural events inspired by the North York Moors National Park
- Liaising with artists, managing installations, and curating exhibitions that engage a wide range of audiences
We offer a competitive salary of £28,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus 25 days' annual leave rising annually by one day to 30 days after five years' service, plus public holidays and a Local Government Pension Scheme.
