Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Installation Trainer and Assessor to join our team at Wigan & Leigh College. As an Electrical Installation Trainer and Assessor, you will play a crucial role in supporting apprentices enrolled onto the level 3 electrical installation standard through workplace coaching, delivery of NVQ portfolio sessions, carrying out workplace assessments, conducting progress reviews, and setting action plans in conjunction with employers to successfully prepare apprentices for AM2S, end-point assessment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support apprentices enrolled onto the level 3 electrical installation standard through workplace coaching and delivery of NVQ portfolio sessions.
  • Carry out workplace assessments and conduct progress reviews to ensure apprentices are on track to meet the required standards.
  • Set action plans in conjunction with employers to successfully prepare apprentices for AM2S, end-point assessment.
  • Support apprentices with their personal development and understanding of wider skills topics.
Requirements
  • Minimum of a level 3 Electrical Installation qualification.
  • Work-based experience within the sector demonstrating occupational competence.
  • 18th Edition qualification and a JIB card.
  • Recognised assessment qualification (TAQA, A1, V1 or equivalent) would be advantageous.
