Senior Associate

The role of Senior Associate - Projects and Commercial Expert at Mills & Reeve involves leading on major projects, taking a lead on the team's ambition to do more in the market for direct let student accommodation, drafting and negotiating high-value commercial contracts, and mentoring and supervising junior members of the team. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of PQE with a background in the projects/commercial field and relevant commercial/projects experience, including experience of advising on major commercial contracts.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading on major projects and taking a lead on the team's ambition to do more in the market for direct let student accommodation.
- Drafting and negotiating high-value commercial contracts.
- Mentoring and supervising junior members of the team.
- Working with Partner Jens Henniker Heaton and Principal Associate David Stead, as well as other members of the projects sub-group within our commercial team.
Requirements
- 5+ years of PQE with a background in the projects/commercial field.
- Relevant commercial/projects experience, including experience of advising on major commercial contracts.
- Strong drafting skills and knowledge of public procurement processes.
- Good inter-personal skills and the ability to establish a rapport with colleagues, clients, and multipliers.
