Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Technical Leader to join our team in Newcastle. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the development of complex financial trading systems using a range of technology including JavaScript, Node, C#, SQL, Docker and Kubernetes.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects, collaborate with various teams, and develop features that enhance the overall user experience. You will also be responsible for mentoring junior engineers and providing technical direction to a small team.

We offer a competitive salary of £150k plus significant bonus and benefits package. The successful candidate will be highly skilled in Full Stack Software Engineering, have experience of leading technical projects, and possess a strong knowledge of SQL databases.

  • Requirements:
  • You have advanced Full Stack Software Engineering experience, having used a range of technology and happy to work with the following tech stack: JavaScript, Node, C#, Docker, Kubernetes Github
  • You have experience of leading technical projects and providing technical direction to a small team
  • You have a strong knowledge of SQL databases
  • You have a thorough understanding of Computer Science fundamentals such as OOP, Data Structures, Design Patterns, Algorithms
  • You're entrepreneurial with good business acumen, keen to take ownership and lead projects
  • You're collaborative, enjoy problem solving and sharing ideas
  • You have an outstanding record of academic achievement - minimum 2.1 in a STEM discipline from a top tier university (i.e. Russel Group or top 100 global university), backed by A grades at A-level
