Role Overview: The Logistics Team Leader will manage the day-to-day operations of the scheduling team, overseeing stock control and replacement for both internal and external engineers, as directed by the Engineer Manager and Service Business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse service delivery processes, route management, and engineering activities to identify areas for improvement and increase efficiency.
- Ensure the scheduling team achieves engineering productivity, efficiency, and KPI targets.
- Support engineer management by providing daily and weekly reports to monitor scheduling performance.
- Improve customer service feedback from the scheduling NPS survey and implement actions or recommendations to enhance the customer experience.
- Ensure company lead time targets are met and report any shortfalls or coverage issues to the Engineer Manager.
- Ensure planned maintenance targets are achieved in line with customer service contracts.
- Provide weekly updates on scheduling performance to the Engineer Manager.
- Advise management on areas for improvement to boost productivity.
- Report any engineering or subcontractor issues to the Engineer Manager.
- Participate in projects to drive continuous improvement within the service department.
- Promote a culture of compliance, ensuring high standards of integrity, honesty, and professionalism.
- Maintain health, safety, environmental, quality, and product compliance as integral parts of the business.
- Report weekly on any engineer skill gaps affecting scheduling resources.
Essential Skills:
- Previous experience in a logistics or scheduling role.
- Proficiency in LN or similar scheduling software.
- Strong planning skills and IT literacy (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Excellent customer care and communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritise workloads and work effectively under pressure.
- Initiative in managing tasks and problem-solving.
- A team player and critical thinker.
Desirable Skills:
- Supervisory experience with a proven track record in delivering performance results under pressure.
