Stantec is seeking an experienced Ecological Project Manager to lead our UK water utility framework team. As a key member of our Ecology team, you will be responsible for managing complex ecological issues within project contexts, mentoring staff, engaging with clients, and supporting bids and tenders to increase the diversity of projects we deliver.
The ideal candidate will have expertise in UKHab classification and Defra Metric, as well as the ability to craft compelling fee proposals and manage project budgets. Experience in winning work and team development is a bonus, but passion for ecology and expertise are what truly matter.
This role offers the opportunity to work with autonomy, build a successful team, and pursue new opportunities. You will be supported by the ecology water lead and other principal ecologists within the wider team, but will be expected to act with some autonomy to secure opportunities for growth.
At Stantec, we value technical excellence and deep market insights to deliver effective solutions for our clients. We plan, design, deliver, and manage development and infrastructure needed to support sustainable, healthy, and prosperous communities.
Our teams provide relevant solutions, translating client vision into valued consents, deliverable plans, and efficient designs. We deal with today's challenges while keeping a fairer, better tomorrow in sight, focusing on clean growth, radical changes in our economy, and meeting future community needs.
We estimate the salary for this position to be around £60,000-£80,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
