As a Relief Support Worker, you will play a vital role in enabling our service users to live independently and participate fully in their communities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Personal Care and Support: Provide respectful and dignified personal care, including assistance with daily living tasks, mobility, and personal hygiene.
- Community Inclusion: Support service users to participate in local community activities, promoting social inclusion and a sense of belonging.
- Flexibility and Adaptability: Work flexibly, including weekends and sleep-in shifts, to meet the needs of our service users.
- Relationship Building: Develop and sustain warm, trusting relationships with service users, their families, and other professionals.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and professionals to ensure a coordinated and consistent service.
Requirements:
- Experience of working with individuals with complex physical disabilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and sleep-in shifts.
- Knowledge of re-enablement principles and person-centered support.
