About the Role

We are seeking a qualified Solicitor to join our Group Legal function as our Legal Counsel. This is a critical role in managing legal risk by advising and supporting the commercial team and board during the tendering and negotiation phases of commercial transactions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advising and drafting commercial contracts
  • Providing legal advice on a variety of matters, including contract interpretation and developments in relevant legislation
  • Supporting the commercial team and board in managing legal risk

About You

  • Qualified Solicitor with at least 3-5 years post qualification legal experience in the commercial field
  • Experience in drafting and negotiating contracts, with knowledge of commercial transactions and the ability to look beyond the documentation and consider the business aspects involved
  • Customer focused with good negotiation and communication skills, and the ability to build strong relationships with internal clients and external agencies
