About the Role

Lanpro is a forward-thinking consultancy providing exceptional planning, design, and environmental services across the UK. We're seeking a driven Associate Planner to support our growth and deliver excellence in planning applications and projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take a leadership role on planning applications and projects, coordinating and overseeing projects.
  • Assist the Regional Director and Associate Directors in developing the team's core competencies and extend technical and mentoring skills.
  • Manage day-to-day operations, wellbeing, and performance of a team of resources, projects, or activities.
  • Perform complex technical, professional, and commercial activities, including preparing and submitting planning applications, written local plan representations, and undertaking site inspections.
  • Develop good client, contractor, and supplier relationships, as well as internal networks of colleagues to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Prepare and present clearly, cogently, and convincingly to various audiences using different media.
  • Negotiate the best terms for the business, including strong awareness and management of legal and contractual aspects.
  • Responsible for day-to-day management of section or project budgets, including WIP on projects within area of responsibility.
Requirements
  • RTPI-accredited degree or Masters in a related discipline.
  • Chartered member of the Royal Town Planning Institute.
  • At least four years post-qualification experience in a relevant role.
  • Reasonable amount of time working in the planning industry, ideally including some experience in the private sector.
