Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Participation Officer to join our team at the Spencer Clarke Group. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting and advocating on behalf of children and young people to ensure their voice is heard in Children's Service.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To oversee and coordinate participation activities within the service, ensuring the effective involvement and influence of children in care and care leavers.
  • To implement and coordinate the use of Mind of My Own within the service, promoting meaningful feedback and engagement.
  • To support the corporate parenting committee, ensuring the voices of children in care are represented and valued.

Requirements:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent, with a recognized professional qualification in a relevant field (e.g., Youth Work and/or Social Work).
  • Proven experience working within social care/childcare settings, with a focus on direct work with children and young people.
  • Excellent IT skills, with the ability to work efficiently in pressurized environments and produce high-quality work.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work autonomously and use initiative.
