Job Title: Field Maintenance Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Field Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Andrews Recruitment Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our fire suppression systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintenance Visit Planning: Plan and execute maintenance visits to customer sites, ensuring all necessary equipment and service kits are on hand.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, maintaining professional relationships with customers and their staff.
  • Maintenance Work: Perform maintenance and repairs thoroughly and safely, following service instructions.
  • Paperwork: Complete all job paperwork accurately and efficiently.
  • Call Out Duties: Respond promptly to call-outs and maintain designated call-out dates free from other commitments.
  • Service Vehicle: Maintain the company vehicle in good condition, performing daily/weekly checks and reporting any issues.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all work equipment is in good condition, including ladders, PAT testing, and calibrations.
  • Purchasing: Use the company credit card for work-related purchases and maintain necessary receipts and records.
  • Training and Development: Complete all assigned training courses and maintain required certifications, including CSCS cards.
  • Workshop and Stores Management: Use equipment safely and maintain a tidy work environment, reporting any stock usage to the stores team.
  • QHSE Compliance: Follow all quality, health, safety, and environmental policies, reporting incidents or safety concerns immediately.
Requirements:
  • Technical Competence: Experience in similar field engineer roles with knowledge of water mist fire suppression systems.
  • Electrical Qualifications: Qualified to at least Level 3 in electrical engineering, with an 18th Edition qualification being highly desirable.
  • Security Clearance: Ability to pass Enhanced Level 1 Security Clearance due to work within custodial establishments.
