Job Title: Skilled Diaphragms Operative

Morson Talent is currently recruiting for a skilled professional to work on behalf of a reputable Aerospace client based in Yeovil. This contract role offers a 3-month opportunity with the possibility of extension.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled worker to join our team at our offices in Yeovil. The successful candidate will be responsible for the manufacture of Aerospace Equipment, working within an empowered team environment to meet delivery requirements and reporting directly to the Team Lead.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Vacuum blast, mill, clean, prep, and reactivate diaphragm components within a controlled process environment.
  • High level of manual dexterity required due to the size and complexity of product.
  • Work in a Clean Room standard environment and follow all PPE requirements.
  • Operator Control of Quality (OCQ) - stamping to confirm quality of assemblies meet client and customer standards.
  • Achieve on-time delivery by ensuring work is completed on time and to the required standard.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, follow process layout, and documentation procedures.
  • Work effectively in a lean environment.
  • Knowledge of Mechanical Assembly, Fitting, Testing, and Machining.
  • High standard of Health & Safety.
  • Adhere to Company Processes & Procedures.
  • Work in a customer-focused environment and achieve targets.
  • Collaborate with Designers and Engineers.
Requirements:
  • Understanding of Aerospace practice and the significance of safety-critical work.
  • PC literate.
  • Ability to display essential skills in Health & Safety standards, teamwork, flexibility, and initiative.
  • Continuous Improvement.
  • Any further training requirements will be provided.

This position is subject to meeting the eligibility conditions of export control licenses and technical assistance agreements. Mandatory requirements include Full BPSS* Screening (*Baseline Personnel Security Standard), including proof of Legal Right to Work, Criminal Records Check, and Drugs Screening.
