Mid-weight PHP Developer Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Mid-weight PHP Developer to join our team at Nichols Digital Ltd in Kingston upon Thames. This is a hybrid role, with 3 days a week spent in our office and Wednesdays and Fridays working remotely.

About the Role

This is a mid-level position that requires a strong understanding of PHP, JavaScript, and frontend technologies such as HTML, CSS, and SASS. You will be working on building websites, products, and campaigns using platforms like SilverStripe, Magento, and WordPress.

Key Responsibilities
  • Write clear, performant, and reusable code in PHP, JavaScript, and MySQL.
  • Work with Git and tooling such as Webpack and Yarn package manager.
  • Adopt a "mobile first" approach to development and ensure high-quality output.
  • Proactively resolve issues and bugs quickly and effectively.
  • Configure deployment tools, monitoring systems, and security measures.
Requirements
  • Strong understanding of PHP, JavaScript, and frontend technologies.
  • Experience with platforms like SilverStripe, Magento, and WordPress.
  • Knowledge of Git, Webpack, and Yarn package manager.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment with 3 days a week in the office and Wednesdays and Fridays working remotely.
