Curriculum Specialist Co-ordinator

About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Curriculum Specialist Co-ordinator to join our team at Bournemouth & Poole College. As a key member of our administration team, you will provide essential support to our curriculum areas, ensuring the smooth operation of our educational programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to academic staff, including taking messages, liaising with staff and parents, and arranging meetings.
  • Coordinate and organize curriculum area events, appointments, and room bookings.
  • Act as the first point of contact for students and staff in the administration office, handling telephone calls, messages, and progressing matters for management attention.
  • Build and maintain links with curriculum teams, providing support in areas such as minute-taking, attending training and events, and data input.
  • Assist with the day-to-day running of curriculum areas, including communicating timetable changes, reporting and recording staff and student absence/lateness, and generating correspondence.
  • Provide high levels of customer service and ensure that communication is facilitated, including answering telephones and responding to enquiries.

Requirements

  • Level 2 (or equivalent) English and Maths
  • Appropriate qualification to level 2/3 standard
  • Experience of working in a busy office environment and managing a diverse caseload
  • Competent in Microsoft Office applications
  • Good command of the English language and grammar
  • Understanding of GDPR, data protection, and health and safety requirements
  • Excellent administration skills, customer service skills, and attention to detail
