Cygnet Health Care is seeking an exceptional Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Phoenix Ward, Cygnet Hospital Wyke. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our patients and contribute to the delivery of high-quality mental health services.
About the RoleAs a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for providing expert clinical leadership and guidance to our team, ensuring that our patients receive the best possible care. Your expertise will be instrumental in developing and implementing treatment plans, conducting mental state examinations, and participating in ward rounds and clinical audits.

- Fully GMC registered and MBBS (or equivalent) qualified
- Registered on the specialist register (CCT/CESR), Section 12, and AC Status
- Experienced and knowledgeable in adult psychiatry and mental health diagnosis
- Knowledgeable of the Mental Health Act and Code of Practice, along with the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and Code of Capacity
- A first-rate communicator who can interview, assess, and treat patients and write clear, comprehensive medical notes
- Committed to continued professional development
- Able to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- A member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCPsych) or equivalent
