About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Engineer to join our team at NEC Software Solutions. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for providing first-line service support for a range of communications equipment deployed within the Emergency Services customer base.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support for communications equipment, including fault finding and fixing of mobile devices.
  • Work within a Virtual Desktop Infrastructure environment, with experience in Hyper V and Cluster administration.
  • Collaborate with experienced staff to resolve technical issues and provide excellent customer service.
  • Develop and maintain strong knowledge of AD, Windows desktop/server operating systems, WSUS, WDS, and SEPM.
  • Work well under pressure, with attention to detail and a professional demeanor.
  • Communicate effectively with users at all levels, both technically and in a customer-facing environment.
Requirements
  • Ability to attain SC & NPPV3 clearance.
  • Full, clean driving licence essential.
  • Strong knowledge of IP/Data Comms, Cisco routers and switching, and Information Security.
  • ITIL certification and experience in a support role in a fast-paced organisation.
  • Valid UK Driving licence.
  • Windows Server 2012, 2016 and 2019, and IP Networking.
