The Role
We are seeking an Employment Support Specialist to join our Restart Employability programme, a DWP initiative designed to support long-term unemployed individuals into employment.
As an Employment Support Specialist, you will provide telephone-based employer quality checks, offering advice and guidance to a caseload of employed members and supporting their retention in employment.
You will work towards targets and guidelines, manage appointments to ensure effective use of time, provide individual coaching, and utilize member funding to maximize employment.
We welcome applications from candidates seeking flexible working hours or the opportunity to work a 4-day working week with condensed hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Previous experience in a fast-paced, results-driven environment with a customer-focused approach
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiating skills
- Ability to engage and motivate clients from diverse backgrounds, recognizing individual needs and complex barriers
- Well-developed IT skills, including Management Information Systems, Microsoft packages, and CRM applications
- An Information, Advice, and Guidance Level 3 or 4 qualification and experience working with the unemployed is desirable
