Job Title: Autism Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Autism Practitioner to join our team at Scottish Autism. As an Autism Practitioner, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) to achieve their full potential.

About the Role:
  • Provide person-centered support to individuals with Autism, promoting independence, and empowering them to make informed decisions about their lives.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including healthcare professionals, educators, and family members, to develop and implement personalized support plans.
  • Conduct assessments, develop, and implement behavior support plans to promote positive behavior and reduce challenging behaviors.
  • Provide training and education to individuals, families, and professionals on Autism, its impact, and strategies for support.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and guidelines related to Autism support.
Requirements:
  • Relevant qualifications in a field related to Autism, such as psychology, social work, or education.
  • Experience working with individuals with Autism, preferably in a support or therapeutic setting.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends.
