Job Title: Gas Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Gas Engineer to join our team at Brampton Recruitment. As a Gas Engineer, you will be responsible for completing repairs, planned maintenance, and installations across the Stoke on Trent region.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Visiting properties to perform planned maintenance, general installations, and call-out work.
  • Planning work to identify all necessary equipment, materials, and access requirements.
  • Applying judgment to all situations, including whether the work is a repair or a full replacement.
  • General maintenance works associated with repairs, such as boarding or replacing hardware.
  • Demonstrating a flexible approach to work to achieve a single visit completion.
  • Completing all necessary documentation.
  • Communicating with customers and colleagues to ensure excellent service delivery.
  • Checking property conditions and reporting back appropriately.
  • To be on call out on a planned rota.
  • Assessing job requirements, including taking dimensions, organizing materials, and carrying out testing procedures.
  • To carry out pre- and post-inspections as directed by your line manager.
Requirements:
  • ACS Certification.
  • Ideally CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, CPA1, HTR1 qualifications.
  • Proven experience as a Gas Engineer, with a minimum of 2 years' service apprenticeship.
  • Customer service experience.
  • GCSE in Maths and English C grade or above desirable.
  • Someone who has good time management experience.
  • Flexible individual.
  • Full driving licence (cannot accept candidates with more than 6 points).
  • To be able to pass a DBS.
Working Hours and Salary:

Monday to Friday, 39 hours per week. Salary: £41,862 per annum + call out bonuses and company vehicle.
