Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our dynamic chemotherapy team as a Chemotherapy Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP). The successful candidate will have experience in delivering Systematic Anticancer Treatment (SACT) for haematology and/or oncology patients and will be able to develop their skills as a nurse leader.

The ideal candidate will have a strong educational background, ideally at Master's level, and will have successfully completed both Advanced Clinical Assessment and Non-Medical Prescribing modules. They will also have experience in SACT administration and working with haematology/oncology patients at Band 7 or above.

Main Duties
  • Run nurse-led clinics in the chemotherapy day unit, including pre-chemotherapy consultations.
  • Deliver safe and compliant quality standards of SACT at a local level and report to the Chemotherapy Nurse Consultant.
  • Offer mentoring and supervisory support to all staff in relation to SACT training.
  • Deliver teaching and training locally, ensuring full compliance with quality standards and the implementation of digital SACT passports.
  • Support pre-chemo consultations clinics to meet quality standards.
  • Support the lead chemotherapy consultant in delivering quality standards.
  • Support the chemotherapy closer to home project.
