About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Adult Support Worker to join our team at a thriving educational centre near Guildford. As an Adult Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting autistic learners aged 18 and above, helping them to develop knowledge, skills, and independence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with individuals and small groups to foster learning and skill development.
  • Implement behaviour-driven teaching methodologies and interventions to promote positive outcomes.
  • Facilitate the application of learned skills in real-world contexts, both within the centre and in the community.
Key Duties
  • Deliver comprehensive support, care, and instruction to autistic adult learners.
  • Design, prepare, and conduct lessons and activities to facilitate skill and knowledge acquisition.
  • Provide behavioural support to mitigate behaviours that adversely affect quality of life.
  • Assist with personal care, empowering adult learners to maintain hygiene standards.
  • Encourage participation in social, recreational, and educational activities in the local community.
  • Support learners in securing work experience and employment opportunities.
  • Track and monitor learners' progress to provide effective, customised support.

Requirements
