About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Secondary SEND Teacher to join our team at Protocol Education. As a SEND Teacher, you will play a vital role in providing a supportive and inclusive learning environment for students with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to the individual needs of each student, promoting social and emotional development and speech and language skills.
  • Use behaviour management strategies aligned with our school's policies to create a positive and respectful learning environment.
  • Maintain discipline and foster an orderly atmosphere that helps students overcome barriers to learning.
  • Observe, monitor, and evaluate student responses through a range of assessment strategies.
  • Adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students and participate in physical activities as appropriate.
  • Promote the inclusion of all students, ensuring they have equal opportunities to learn and grow.
  • Take an active role in promoting and safeguarding the welfare of students.
About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Shows empathy and patience when working with students who exhibit challenging behaviours.
  • Has a natural ability to problem-solve and manage/modify pupil behaviour effectively.
  • Is organised, flexible, resilient, and physically fit.
  • Has a down-to-earth sense of humour and a positive attitude towards the challenges of working with SEN students.
