Venator is seeking an experienced E&I Technician to join the ICON Maintenance team at the Greatham site.

The primary purpose of this role is to maintain the plant electrical and instrumentation equipment, adhering to the weekly maintenance plan and responding to injected work as required by the MEI FLM.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Completing planned and emergent work to the site I/E Standard and reporting any nonconformances that may impact EHSQ standards or equipment reliability.
  2. Coordinating maintenance work on the plant by adhering to Safe Systems of Work, procedures such as risk assessment, permit to work authorisation, and HTMP8116.
  3. Carrying out functional and evaluation tests on specialized instrument/electrical systems, ensuring adherence to Quality Assurance systems and procedures.
  4. Utilizing various IT systems to interact with the plant for fault diagnosis, including Mod 300 and Delta V.
  5. Presenting information comprehensively, accurately, and legibly via electronic logs, inputting data into SAP, and providing detailed and accurate handovers.
  6. Testing and commissioning new or modified instrument/electrical systems as required.
  7. Responding effectively to planned and emergent I/E issues, selecting the appropriate course of action and communicating with the MEI FLM as necessary.
  8. Identifying and recommending improvements to enhance plant stability, maximize uptime, and quality.
  9. Applying problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis, to solve operating and maintenance problems.
  10. Providing flexible cover for other technicians as required.

Candidate requirements include:

Job-related work experience and Skills/Knowledge Requirements:

  1. NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering.
  2. Preferably educated to HNC level or equivalent, with completion of a time-served Electrical apprenticeship.
