Children's Services Leader

At Gilbert Meher Ltd, we are seeking an experienced Children's Services Leader to join our dynamic team on an interim basis in Manchester. This is a key leadership position within the team, overseeing the quality and safety of care provided to vulnerable children and young people.

- Oversee the day-to-day management of the children's service, ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations and national standards.
- Provide leadership and guidance to staff, ensuring best practice in the care and safeguarding of children and young people.
- Act as the main point of contact for regulatory bodies, ensuring all inspections, audits, and reporting are carried out in a timely and effective manner.
- Ensure policies and procedures are followed and maintain the highest standards of safeguarding.
- Monitor and review service quality, making improvements where necessary to ensure positive outcomes for children.
- Lead and manage the development of individual care plans, supporting the well-being and progress of the children in our care.
- Work closely with local authorities, social workers, and external partners to ensure the best support for children and young people.
- Provide reports on service performance to senior management and key stakeholders.
We offer a competitive salary of approximately £65,000 per annum, depending on experience, along with opportunities for professional growth and development in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience as a Responsible Individual within children's services or a similar role, in-depth knowledge of Ofsted regulations and the children's social care sector, strong leadership and management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a clear commitment to safeguarding and the well-being of children and young people.
