This role is situated within the pediatric audiology unit at Children's Hearing Centre (CHC). Our team comprises assistant audiologists, pediatric audiologists, and clinical scientists, all working together to provide comprehensive diagnosis, treatment planning, and hearing aid fitting for infants and children of various ages. We maintain close collaboration with the Newborn Hearing Screening Programme, Pediatric ENT, Sensory Support Service, and the Hearing Implant Programme.
The successful candidate will be stationed at a designated healthcare facility.

Key Responsibilities
Clinical Expertise: Provide advanced audiological evaluations and interventions to patients, ensuring a commitment to clinical excellence. Remain informed about the latest developments in audiology to apply evidence-based practices effectively.
Patient-Focused Care: Deliver empathetic and patient-centered care, fostering effective communication and collaboration with children and their families.
Teamwork: Collaborate with the audiology team to nurture a positive team environment. Mentor less experienced colleagues and contribute to the professional growth of the team.
Quality Improvement: Assist in maintaining high standards of audiological services by adhering to established protocols and engaging in quality enhancement initiatives. Participate in audits and implement improvements based on best practices.

Knowledge and Experience
Essential:
- Extensive post-degree experience in any audiology field with a specialized focus on pediatric audiology.
Desirable:
- Highly specialized knowledge of pediatric audiology gained through a combination of in-depth experience and postgraduate training, such as a master's degree or doctorate, or equivalent qualifications, along with significant formal training or research in pediatric audiology.
- Experience in conducting clinical audits and/or research.
Skills and Abilities
Essential:
- Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong organizational abilities.
Aptitudes
Essential:
- The candidate should be an autonomous, self-motivated practitioner capable of fulfilling the duties and responsibilities outlined in this job description independently.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and prioritize tasks efficiently. Capable of responding to unexpected issues promptly and calmly, using initiative and sound judgment as necessary.

Qualifications and Training
Essential:
- BSc/MSc in Audiology or an equivalent qualification.
