Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Welder Specialist to join our team at Devonport Dockyard in Plymouth. As a Welder Specialist, you will be responsible for performing high-quality welding tasks on ships, submarines, and in a factory environment.

Key Responsibilities:

* Perform welding tasks using various techniques, including FCAW, MMA, MIG, and TIG
* Undertake regular welding requalification to meet required standards
* Read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions
* Use general workshop tools and machinery specific to welding

Requirements:

* Time served apprentice in marine engineering or naval engineering environment
* Indentured Apprenticeship relevant to the role
* Level 3 Modern Apprenticeship or Level 3 Engineering qualification relevant to the role
* Ability to obtain and hold SC clearance and undergo a DBS check

Working Hours:

* 35 hours per week with possible overtime available
