Regional Lead Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Regional Lead to join our OneSource Team at PerkinElmer. As a Regional Lead, you will play a critical role in harmonizing our operations with other Regional Leads and driving excellence in the services we offer to our customer groups.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement regional operations programs, establishing policies, procedures, and goals to ensure strategic initiatives are achieved.
  2. Participate in and be accountable for oversight of initiatives to improve service delivery, focusing on quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
  3. Implement best practices within the support team, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
  4. Guide and mentor the management team of technical service professionals, cultivating an environment of continuous improvement and best practices.
  5. Convene regular staff meetings to address client issues and concerns, client and team-member scheduling matters, professional training, program development, and performance matters.
  6. Collaborate with other Regional Leads to standardize processes and service delivery, ensuring a cohesive global approach.
  7. Ensure financial accountability and management for the region.
  8. Drive performance of functional metrics.
  9. Demonstrate company cultural values, fostering healthy working relationships and enhancing team coordination to achieve company and client goals.
  10. Maintain training and compliance in areas of health and safety, security, environmental, and operational aspects of daily activities.
  11. Ability to travel domestically and internationally.

  5. Experience working in a compliance-driven environment.

  7. Experience effectively communicating with Senior-level management.
  8. Self-motivated and ability to work under pressure to prioritize conflicting deadlines.
  9. Ability to work collaboratively with international counterparts to achieve global objectives.
Basic Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, Business, Technical, or Science with 1+ year(s) in leadership, leading, guiding, or coaching other leaders OR
  2. Associates degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, Business, Technical, or Science with 2+ year(s) in leadership, leading, guiding, or coaching other leaders OR
  3. High School Diploma (or equivalent) with 5+ year(s) of experience in leadership, leading, guiding, or coaching other leaders.
Preferred Qualifications:
  1. Proven experience in leading technical support teams, preferably in a Pharmaceutical laboratory environment.
  2. Strong financial acumen and experience with creating and managing SOPs.
Working Environment:
  1. Must be able to work in a laboratory, controlled environments requiring personal protective equipment (e.g., lab coat, safety glasses, etc.) in laboratory.
  2. Job pace may be fast and job completion demands may be high.
  3. Must be able to remain in a stationary position more than 25% of the time.
  4. The person needs to occasionally move between labs, corridors, adjoining rooms, and buildings onsite. Frequently operate on instruments, objects, tools, or controls, which will require regularly bending, squatting, stretching, and reaching in order to perform in a service function.
  5. Occasionally move or lift up to 25 pounds (potential for occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds).
  6. Specific vision abilities required by this position include without limitation, the ability to observe details at close range distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus in order to perform the essential service functions of this position.
  7. Occasionally operates a computer and other office machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
  8. Employee may be required to handle hazardous waste according to local, state, and federal regulations. Duties may include identifying, handling, generating, accumulating, storing, and labeling hazardous waste.
  9. Potential risk to lab-based hazards including but not limited to extreme temperature, biological materials, and hazardous chemicals.
  10. May be required to complete Medical Clearance, Respiratory Protection Training, and Fit Testing to wear a respirator as protection against hazards present in the laboratory environment.
