About the Role:

This role will be responsible for the integration of the Strategic Weapons System (SWS) and Supporting Systems into the Dreadnought Class Submarine. The successful candidate will work closely with a wide range of stakeholders across multiple disciplines to ensure the delivery of this critical programme.

Key Responsibilities:

">
  • Provide engineering support/input to the Task Authorisation Forms & rectification of GFE material
  • Review US supplied documents for impact to the UK platform and distribute to internal Stakeholders for review and comment
  • Engage with the Change Management community via the Enterprise Change Request (ECR) process to ensure a full impact assessment is conducted
  • Work with the team and other Stakeholders providing Engineering SQEP to assist with verification of US & UK requirements
  • Assist in the development of an enduring Trident Engineering capability
  • Encourage and guide continuous improvement, challenging current practice where appropriate

Your Skills and Qualifications:

">

Essential:

">
  • Engineering degree or equivalent experience
  • Chartership or working towards
  • Understanding of the role of an SSBN, its mission and how the Strategic Weapon System (SWS) contributes to it
  • Understanding of the operation of the SWS and the platform equipment and services required to allow it to meet availability targets

Desirable:

">
  • Knowledge of the US-supplied product, and how they impact on UK platform design
  • Ability to contribute to the SWS Engineering/integration aspects of documentation reviews, design reviews and decision panels
  • Basic understanding of Life Cycle Management

Benefits:

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary ranging from £60,000 to £80,000 per annum, depending on experience. They will also have access to additional benefits including a competitive pension scheme, enhanced annual leave allowance, and a Company contributed Share Incentive Plan.

Salary Information:

The estimated salary for this role is between £65,000 to £75,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
