Job Title: Vehicle Technician

We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join our team at East of England Ambulance Service. As a key member of our Workshop Services team, you will play a vital role in ensuring our ambulances are on the road and ready to respond to patients in need.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and repair faults in vehicles to ensure they are safe and roadworthy.
  • Perform routine maintenance and servicing on ambulances to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
  • Work collaboratively with other technicians and support staff to achieve team goals and objectives.
  • Participate in a 24-hour breakdown service, responding to callouts and providing emergency repairs as needed.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of new procedures and processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements:
  • C1 License category (or ability to achieve within 6 months)
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Extensive post-apprenticeship experience in vehicle mechanical engineering
  • NVQ 2 in Vehicle Maintenance Repair (Light Vehicle) or equivalent qualification
