Hull City Council is seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to lead our SEND services and partnerships. As a key member of our Learning and Skills team, you will play a vital role in delivering our vision for a Child Friendly City, where the voices of children and young people with SEND are heard and respected.
Our Vision: We want all children and young people aged 0-25 with SEND to be healthy and happy, do well in education, make friends and build strong, lasting relationships within their local community. To develop independence, be safe, active and successful and have the confidence to achieve their aspirations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead an integrated approach to the delivery of SEND services, working collaboratively with social care and health colleagues and wider inclusion services.
- Work closely with Hull's Learning Partnership of school leaders, which identifies inclusion as a first priority.
- Develop and maintain positive, mutually respectful relationships with parents, carers, and experts by experience.
