Senior Clinical Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Clinical Manager to join our team at Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board. As a key member of our Mental Health & Learning Disabilities Care Group, you will play a vital role in developing and enhancing our services within the Local Primary Mental Health Support Service (LPMHSS).
As a Senior Clinical Manager, you will be responsible for managing a team of clinicians, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care, and working closely with stakeholders to identify service priorities. You will also have the opportunity to lead projects and contribute to the development of our services.
We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in clinical psychology, significant post-graduate training in a systematic therapist modality, and experience in leadership and management. You will be accredited by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and have a doctoral level training in clinical or counselling psychology.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and deliver timely evidence-based and highly specialist psychological therapeutic interventions for people accessing the service.
- Take a key leadership role within the service, exercising full responsibility for managing the team and ensuring the delivery of high-quality care.
- Provide highly developed expert psychological and mental health assessment based upon the appropriate use, interpretation, and integration of complex data from a variety of sources.
- Lead in care planning, where appropriate, taking responsibility for initiating, planning, and reviewing care plans.
- Ensure that all members of the wider service have access to a psychological framework.
- Undertake risk assessment and risk management for appropriate individuals.
- Provide highly specialist consultation and clinical supervision to other members of the psychology directorate.
- Doctoral level training in clinical or counselling psychology, (or its equivalent for those trained prior to 2000)
- Significant post-graduate training/qualification in a systematic therapist such as CAT, CBT DBT or other recognised modality
- Accredited by Health and Care Professions Council, HCPC.
