Aramark UK is seeking a skilled Paralegal & Compliance Administrator to join its dynamic legal team, supporting the Onshore & Offshore business.

This role offers a unique blend of paralegal and compliance work in a rapidly growing company. As part of our tight-knit in-house team, you'll gain exposure to diverse projects, enhance your skills, and make meaningful contributions.

Reporting to the VP & Assistant General Counsel, this position provides flexibility, allowing you to work remotely for part of the week. However, we do expect occasional travel to London for team meetings and less frequent trips further afield as required by the business.

Key responsibilities

Commercial:

  • Initial tender responses and NDAs require review and preparation.
  • Document approvals, executions, and electronic filings need management.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and assist with know-how and presentations.
  • Provide general administrative and support functions.

Company Secretarial:

  • Schedule and coordinate board meetings and document execution.
  • Maintain statutory books, registers, and submit annual compliance statements and Companies House filings.
  • Handle statutory accounts filings, prepare board resolutions, and provide company information to auditors and the business.
  • Liaise with international external counsel on AGMs, director appointments, and regulatory requirements.

Compliance:

  • Compile and maintain the UK Onshore & Offshore Risk Register.
  • Review and manage processes for music and alcohol licenses, working closely with business units.
  • Monitor new legislation, regulatory changes, and emerging risks affecting the business.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure full compliance with the Risk Register.

Key requirements

  • 2-3 years' experience as a commercial/compliance paralegal or in company secretarial work.
  • Law degree (2:1 or above) or completion of the LPC.
  • Familiarity with commercial contracts.
  • Strong legal analysis skills.
  • Hands-on experience with legal document management software.
  • Multinational environment experience would be beneficial but isn't essential.
