At ViTalent LTD, we are seeking an experienced Senior Credit Controller to oversee the credit control process and safeguard our business's cash flow. This role is critical in maintaining our financial health, especially as we continue to grow.

The successful candidate will join our friendly Manchester Studio and work closely with high-profile private and public-sector clients. As a Credit Controller, you will be responsible for managing debt recovery, credit control, and Xero experience.

We estimate the salary for this position to be around £33,000 per annum, depending on experience. The ideal candidate will have strong written and spoken English ability, advanced IT skills, and knowledge of accounting systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ownership of the credit control process, monitor customer balances and ensure issues are highlighted to management promptly.
  • Manage the debt management process & escalation and liaise with senior stakeholders in the business.
  • Help manage correct setup of projects to enable the prompt payment of invoices.
  • Manage and review customer registration forms, ensuring accurate information is collected.
  • Understand fee drawdowns & agreements with customers and ensure these are correctly reflected in the billing process.
  • Reconcile customer accounts on the accounting system & project management system.
  • Assist with the sales invoicing process across the group.

Requirements:

  • Experience of debt recovery and credit control.
  • Experience in accounts reconciliation.
  • Ideally, but not essential, Xero experience.
  • Ideally, but not essential, experience of working in a professional service company (e.g. Engineers, architects, surveyors, consultants, lawyers, accountants).
