The Role
We are seeking to recruit an Assistant Practice Manager to join our team. The position involves general clerking and administration duties on behalf of an appointed team of barristers, as directed by a Practice Manager. On a day-to-day basis, the role will involve advising solicitors on the availability of counsel, diary management, fee negotiation, liaising with court staff to obtain listings and to fix hearing dates, logging receipt of papers and arranging conferences.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the smooth running of your appointed team of barristers
- Liaise on a regular basis with clerking colleagues
- Report to your Practice Manager
- Work closely with all members and support staff
Requirements
Candidates should possess a minimum of 5 GSCE's at A-C (or equivalent), excellent interpersonal skills, a focused and proactive approach and should be articulate and client friendly.
