About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cook Manager to join our team at Sodexo. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the food and beverage operations at St Thomas Moore RC School, Nuneaton.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the daily food and beverage operations, ensuring high-quality service and food standards are consistently met.
  • Lead and motivate a team of cooks and kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent performance.
  • Develop and implement menus, taking into account dietary requirements and preferences.
  • Manage food costs, inventory, and supplies, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and food safety standards.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong background in cooking and kitchen management.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Knowledge of food safety and health and safety regulations, with the ability to implement and maintain high standards.
  • Ability to work under pressure, managing multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic food handling skills certification, such as NVQ Level 2 or equivalent.
What We Offer
  • A competitive hourly rate of £15.50.
  • A 37.5 hour working week, Monday to Friday, with term-time only (39 week) working contract.
  • Equated pay, with pay spread over 12 months instead of just during working weeks.
